cast bronze, industrial cast-iron pulley, walnut, mappa burl, metal rods, reclaimed wood shim, oil paint
This artwork takes Andrew back to his first love - sculpting. The arm and hand are cast bronze, with an oil paint finish. The color gradient of green is unique to this sculpture. The wings of the butterflies are created out of hand made mappa burl veneer and shaped walnut wood airbrushed with a pearlescent blue. The shim is created out of recycled wood and keeps the sculpture in place. The wheel itself is an old engine pulley wheel. This sculpture is a one of a kind.
